(Paramount, 1989) Polyfoam bust with bloody mouth and neck, polyfoam puppeteered head with mouth cut, cut ankle with slipper and coveralls worn by Fred Gwynne as “Jud Crandall,” the mysterious neighbor, in Stephen King’s 1989 film Pet Sematary. These three pieces were hand sculpted and created from the actor’s life casts. All were used on-screen in Jud’s shocking death scene. In the filmed sequence, the foot and slipper appears when Gage slashes Jud”s Achilles tendon, dropping him to the ground. Next, Gage slashes Jud’s puppet head mouth with a scalpel.
