Runaway baby buggy from The Untouchables

Runaway baby buggy from the pivotal shootout scene from The Untouchables. (Paramount, 1987) Canvas and wooden baby buggy, used in the famous shootout scene in Grand Central Station. In the film, the mother accidentally releases this buggy at the top of the stairs and it careens down into the hailstorm of bullets flying between Eliot Ness” government men and Capone”s henchmen – by far the most memorable scene of the film. In fact, this scene was director Brian De Palma”s homage to Sergei Eisenstein”s 1925 classic, The Battleship Potemkin, in which a runaway baby carriage was used in the film”s most famous sequence, the massacre on the Odessa Steps. Measures 44 in. long x 42 in. tall x 24 in. wide. Comes with a COA from Ellis Props & Graphics of Hollywood. $4,000 – $6,000′
