C-3PO feet from Star Wars: A New Hope

“C-3PO” feet from Star Wars: A New Hope. (TCF, 1977) These feet were worn by actor Anthony Daniels and sculpted by Liz Moore who died shortly after she completed her work on the “C-3PO” robot. Made of rubber, these feet would have been worn over a pair of shoes and tied off at the back of the shoe cup with a piece of wire. Originally chromed with a process called Steinart Chrome that started to flake off as soon as they were worn, and as the years have gone by the chrome has nearly all been lost. Nevertheless, the feet are very rare and in good condition considering the years, especially for a costume part that was made to be worn and then thrown away. Very few original parts from the “C-3PO” costume suit exist now, making these an exceptionally rare piece of Star Wars history. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the Kurtz/Joiner Archive. $20000 – $30000′
