A Delta Force combat helmet used in the Ridley Scott war movie Black Hawk Down. Forced by political pressure to try and capture a local rebel leader, the US military plan and execute a daring snatch-and-grab in the heart of Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu. But when the mission goes horribly wrong, surrounded on all sides by local militia, it’s up to the soldiers on the ground to save their brethren before it’s too late. This helmet and others like it were worn by the operatives of Delta Force during the battle I n the heart of Mogadishu. The helmet is made of plastic with a foam padded liner and a nylon webbing chin strap. The helmet has Velcro strips applied to the sides for the attachment of patches and other insignia with the surface of the helmet sanded down to remove the sheen from the plastic. A pair of dust goggles, fitted with an elastic strap, are also included. Well-used on the production with some wear from use and time spent in storage, this Delta Force helmet remains in good production-used condition
