Alien vs. Predator, Scar Stunt Helmet

This is a stunt Scar helmet from the 2004 mash-up AVP: Alien vs. Predator. Scar is the most prominent Predator in the film; and near the end of the film, he and the film’s heroine ride a sled out of the depths of the cave, chased by a fierce explosion. For the shot, this stunt helmet was specifically created and used and it was tied to the stuntman’s face by zip ties fed through tiny holes around the edges of the mask. Made of dense urethane, this piece is painted silver and grey and features Scar’s signature scar on the forehead. There is black cloth to cover the eyes, and the small holes are present around the edges which held the mask to the actor’s face. The connections by the eyes of the upper portion to the lower are beginning to crack and hinge (where the material is thinnest); but the piece is in otherwise good condition. The laser sight unit from the helmet is missing. The mask measures about 18” x 11” (45 x 30 cm). This piece will come with a signed letter of authenticity from Amalgamated Dynamics, Inc. co-founders Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff, Jr
