Screen-used Hero K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider. (NBC-TV, 2008-09) This is one of two hero K.I.T.T. driving cars built for the 2008 TV series driven by Justin Bruening as "Michael Knight," which takes place 25 years after the original Knight Rider series. The car is a jet black 2008 Ford Mustang equipped with a 4.0L V-6 SOHC engine mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. The car has been extensively modified with Ford Shelby GT 500KR components, including front Brembo performance brakes, 20-in. forged SVT wheels, GT 500KR seats (with red inserts and embroidered Carroll Shelby headrests), KR front bumper assembly, hood with vents, front and rear spoilers and KR rear bumper cover, HID headlamps, black KR stripe kit, carbon fiber side mirror covers and the appropriate "snake" badging. Other modifications including K.I.T.T.'s signature red "sweeping" scanner mounted at the front of the hood (in perfect working order), Momo steering wheel and tinted windows. This incredibly impressive car was purpose-built by Cinema Vehicle Services for the production and comes with a certificate of authenticity from the company.
