It had its biggest share of screentime in “The Neutral Zone,” where a nurse uses it to revive Sonny Clemonds. It then regularly appeared as one of Crusher's medical tools on several medical tables or in the medical bag. It was phased out with the new medikit Crusher had in “I, Borg.” The appearance was slightly altered after all those appearances on TNG and the white stripe at the end of the prop was added.
