(Orion, 1987) This exceptional costume was used primarily in Asia to promote the film. It was featured in various television commercials, and was even worn for the opening ceremony of the Korean baseball championship; RoboCop actually threw (or rather, fired) out the first pitch with a specially made gun! It was for this event that the suit was given a chrome
silver finish over the standard grey/silver, so that it could be seen more clearly by the huge crowd. The very impressive costume, derived from the original, includes both the softer “stunt” torso and the detailed torso as
used for foreground shots.
