(ABC-TV, 1978-79) In command of the entire Cylon Empire, Imperious Leader is an I-L Series Cylon, reptilian in form like his ancestors, and capable of high-level reasoning. The costume is constructed of a long red fabric robe with attached red leather leaf appliqué, with a surmounted dark resin “halo”. The head is constructed of fiberglass with latex lizard-like appliance (since dried out), and clear marble eyes which were previously wired to illuminate. The head has since broken, but the original shape is clearly evident and some additional small pieces are included. The costume is mounted on a wooden base with central metal support, and stands fully 7 ½ feet tall. A fantastic, one-of-a-kind costume from the series.
