(ABC-TV, 1976-79) Sketch of Lynda Carter as “Wonder Woman” wearing her trademark slinky superhero strapless unitard, accomplished in gouache on a 16 in. x 20 in. sheet of artist’s illustration board. This is Donfeld’s original 1976 design sketch for the series, and features the final design of the Wonder Woman costume as used on the show. Signed by Donfeld at the lower edge, with original fabric swatches attached to the upper right, and notation “Wonder Woman Basic Costume, Warner Bros. Television”. Inscribed on the verso by Donfeld “For Dear Richard from Dear Donf. with every kindest good wish and sincere admiration. As ever, Donfeld (Himself), Christmas, 1976.” Some surface creasing; otherwise, in very good condition.
