V.I.N.C.E.N.T. robot filming miniature from The Black Hole. (Disney, 1979) “V.I.N.C.E.N.T.”, the Vital Information Necessary CENTralized robot, was one of the key characters in the film and was voiced by Roddy McDowall. This filming miniature measures approximately 8 in. tall, and is constructed of fiberglass which has been meticulously hand-painted with V.I.N.C.E.N.T.’s various gauges and indicator lights, including his distinctive white eyes. A threaded coupling extends from the back of the miniature at the head, where the model was attached to a special-effects boom for filming against a bluescreen.
