Rita Hayworth “Princess Salome” Jean Louis-designed gown from Salome. (Columbia, 1953) Jean Louis-designed Grecian-style floor-length gown of pale blue silk with a sweeping train in the back. Ornate breastplates are cut from thin brass sheeting and it has an integral sewn-in brassiere and sheer silk underslip. A matching silk belt ties around the waist. The silk exhibits normal wear in areas and the brass breastplate is bent at one point. From the collection of Rita Hayworth biographer, Caren Roberts-Frenzel who obtained the dress from the Jane Withers Collection.
