Shield from King Kong. (RKO, 1933) Oval shield constructed of mixed media over a wooden frame and decorated by hand in a tribal motif. Measuring 42 in. tall x 18 in. wide, it exhibits some cracking and distress from age and use in subsequent film productions. Includes a LOA from Steve Berkett, actor and director, who acquired this directly from the RKO/Pathe collection.
