(RKO, 1933) Large oval (4) and hexagonal (2) shields, and (8) staffs fabricated of painted fiberboard, wood, leather, and muslin-wrappings brandished by natives of Skull Island in KING KONG, and almost certainly recycled for use again in SHE and other RKO productions. Shields range in size from 20 x 35 in. (plus attached pole) to 19 x 51 in., and staffs are generally 36 in. long. From the studio lot once the home of RKO and Pathe. Impressive assortment of genuine artifacts from one of the most beloved and significant horror films of all time. Condition varies, with some chipping to fiberboard edges, broken leather straps, etc., but for the most part are complete and intact.
