814. Screen-used Marcel Delgado two-headed giant stop-motion armature puppet from Jack the Giant Killer. (UA, 1962) This steel ball and socket armature stands 18 in. tall and was built by Marcel Delgado, of King Kong fame, who was working for Academy Award-winning visual effects wizard, Gene Warren. Master sculptor Wah Chang created the body and faces. The chest features a rubber bladder to expand the ribcage to simulate breathing. The Two-Headed Giant was prominently seen in the film fighting the Giant Sea Octopus. The articulated hands are reportedly from one of the original King Kong armatures made by Delgado to create this character. A fantastic relic from a bygone era of film making. $20,000 - $30,000
