(Warner Bros., 1967) This is the key prop from the film, around which the entire
plot turns! It is a double-edged chrome-plated broadsword of heavy steel with a brass hilt. Engraved on the blade is the prophetic inscription,
reading “Whoso Pulleth Out This Sword Of This Stone Is Rightwise King Born Of All England”. The sword measures 40 in. in length. In
1974, it was presented by Warner Bros. to a security officer upon his retirement, who had worked for the studio for over 40 years and retired
as Chief of Security. It was housed in a custom frame and displayed prominently in his home for many years. The sword comes with a letter
of authenticity from the consignor, a relative of the retiree, stating these circumstances. Easily the most desirable piece a collector could ever
hope to acquire from this Academy Award-winning film, which starred Richard Harris as the anointed King Arthur.

Estimate $20,000 – $30,000
