628. Flamingo puppet from Alice in Wonderland. (Lou Bunin Productions, 1949) This pink flamingo is seen during the croquet match at the Royal Court where it's used as a croquet mallet. Constructed of Bunin's own rubberized foam compound for the flexible skin over a special wrapped wire armature. The entire puppet is hand-painted and detailed. Measures 10 in. tall. Exhibits only minor cracking and wear; otherwise, remarkable condition for its age.
