A set of Grundens oilskins of distressed orange PVC, comprising: a long-sleeved hooded jacket with press stud fastening and matching oilskin trousers with orange elasticated braces, the inside label of both jacket and trousers inscribed in black felt pen BILLY -- purchased for George Clooney as Captain Billy Tyne in the 2000 Warner Bros. film The Perfect Storm; accompanied by a document concerning the provenance and a colour reproduction of a corresponding still.
Lot Notes
Apparently, the oilskins used in The Perfect Storm were exact replicas of those worn by crew members on the real Andrea Gail boat, the true story of which is told in the film.
