(TCF, 2009) Accurate 1:16 scale recreation of the Bell X-1 aircraft flown by Chuck Yeager and the first aircraft to break the sound barrier. This detailed miniature was used in the getaway scene where Ben Stiller and Amy Adams fly the Wright Flyer through The National Air and Space Museum. Made of vacuum formed plastic, it features a bright orange paint job and custom decals, including the name “Glamorous Glinnis” on the nose, named after Yeager’s wife. Measures 25 in. long with a 27 in. wingspan.
