Two bronze figures used in the Ridley Scott epic Gladiator. These two god-like figures were used in the scenes at the beginning of the film after Maximus (Russell Crow) has returned from the battle and is praying for his family; these figures are placed in small temple along with his tiny family figures and represent the Gods watching over his loved ones. The two figures, although not clearly seen, are of the correct style and were most likely used on the second shelf which is hidden in shadow. The figures are both of naked men carrying a single item with only a single length of material around their shoulders. The figures are approximately 27cm (10.5”) and 15cm (6”) high and are a unique pair, of which no seconds were made, they are made of sculpted bronze coloured metal, and are in great condition, but for the tallest figure missing the tip of his foot. A fantastic pair from the film.
