1062. Victor Van Dort hero stop-motion animation puppet from Corpse Bride. (Warner Bros., 2005) This is the incredible stop-motion puppet of the hesitant Victor Van Dort (voiced by Johnny Depp). The puppet stands 18 ¼ in. tall and is built of a steel and aluminum armature with resin and silicone elements on the head with rubber-covered hands. The internal mechanics within the head are literally constructed with the precision of a Swiss watch with a series of paddles and pins, controlled via an Allen wrench inserted at the top of the head, which produced every expression made by Victor in the film! The clothing is highly detailed with studio distressing. Complete stop-motion puppets from Corpse Bride are exceedingly difficult to obtain – key characters even more so. Truly a landmark in the technology of stop-motion animation. Mounted to a custom faux-cobblestone wooden base.
