Chuck's (Tom Hanks) leather loincloth worn in the 2000 dramatic adventure Cast Away. This piece was worn by the lonely man after being marooned for four years on the desert island, who develops exception skills at making something from nothing, including a posh dress he fashioned into this modest piece of practical clothing! Rustically made, the piece fastens by threading a long length of leather through a loop with flaps front and back including a hidden 'support' inside for the actor's comfort. It has the remains of a non-function zipper and several decorative metal studs from its former incarnation as a dress, and is in a very well worn condition. There is no size marked as it was custom made for the actor and is an instantly recognisable piece for any collection.
