1028. Lot of Zero animation elements from The Nightmare Before Christmas. (Buena Vista, 1993) This unique "Zero to Hero" collection belonged to Merrick Cheney, it includes the first Zero prototype used in the rare Test shooting of Nightmare conducted at Tippett studio in Berkeley, California. This "number Zero" Zero has a hard foam head and its scale is slightly smaller then the final prototype, measuring 5 ¾ in. long. The second piece is the Zero body template used to create all of the Zero used during production. The painted Zero head was a screen used head that had the particularity of being rigged from the front, hence the hole in the face, this was necessary for the sleigh sequence where Zero was sometimes only seen from the back, it comes with the actual rig used on set. The unpainted foam head is an unused animation ready head with a functional light up nose. Also in this collection is an original screen used Zero armature as well as the ONLY set of Zero blueprints left and a fax from Skelington production that dates his "birth".
