1010. Tree house Elevator Cage from The Nightmare Before Christmas. (Buena Vista, 1993) A screen-used, full-size stop-motion animation set piece from The Nightmare Before Christmas. This elevator cage was utilized by Halloween's finest trick-or-treaters (Lock, Shock and Barrel) to travel up into their tree house. There are mounting holds in the floor of the cage where the puppets were affixed. The piece is constructed of a combination of wrought iron, wood and twine with special removable bars to allow puppet placement and manipulation. It measures 21 in. tall x 8 ½ in. diameter. The wires leading to the light bulb have been snipped and the light has not been tested.
