1019. "Mr. Hyde" pre-production puppet from The Nightmare Before Christmas. (Buena Vista, 1993) This pre-production Mr. Hyde puppet was not screen-used but produced for the preliminary concept of the character and remains extremely faithful to the final look. Constructed of foam rubber body covered with patterned fabric, a resin head and latex arms and hands, this maniacal-looking character stands 4 in. tall and is mounted to a small wooden basket standing 3 ½ in. tall. The right pupil is missing and the arms and hands exhibit minor chips and cracks; otherwise, very good condition.
