Mayor’s head from The Nightmare Before Christmas. (Buena Vista, 1993) Complete Mayor’s head with hat and featuring a double-sided face constructed of resin and used for the intricate stop-motion animation sequences in the film. The hat is removable and there is a small, double-sided piece that inserts at the top of the head for the scenes where the Mayor is without his hat. The pieces are hand-painted with hat standing 12 in. tall. One side of the face features a smile, the other a grimace. The eyes and mouths are held on with magnets to allow easy interchangeability. Mounted on a custom-built display stand.
