1089. Screen-used "Mayor" facial animation elements from The Nightmare Before Christmas. (Buena Vista, 1993) These facial animation elements, constructed of resin, include a mouth and two eyes and were used for the intricate stop motion animation sequences in the film. The pieces are hand-painted and bear the handwritten notations "M11" (mouth) and "MR2", "ML2" (eyes). Also includes an original production storyboard artwork depicting the Mayor with Behemoth and Clown. Accomplished in graphite on a 5 ½ x 8 in. leaf of artist's illustration paper with production notation in red pencil "(Head spins)" at the right. Signed on the verso by director, Henry Selick, and accompanied by a LOA from Selick. $2,000 - $3,000
