1030. Hero skull-holding device from Dr. Finklestein's laboratory from The Nightmare Before Christmas. (Buena Vista, 1993) There is no duplicate of this extremely rare piece, it was a very complicated one-off construction that involved the main modelmaker, sculptor and machinist on Nightmare. All of the different "monster" heads where never molded and are original sculpts. It has a custom made telescopic neck that can be tightened by a set screw in the body. The turret is able to rotate for animation purposes and all the arms are fully articulated. Constructed of hand-painted resin with metal elements. Measures 13 in. tall. This prop is from Marc Ribaud's collection and was taken off the set directly after the shoot, wrapped in velvet and had not seen the light of day since then.
