(Universal, 1997) This is the head of the fully self-contained baby T-rex, constructed of foam latex skin over a carbon fiber core. The eyes were custom built for this figure, hand-painted and finished. The teeth and pallet are dental acrylic (acrylic polymer); the tongue is also foam latex. It was drenched with water and much-handled in the course of shooting the film, which has accelerated its aging. There are several spots where the foam has dried out and begun to crumble, but it is still an awe-inspiring display piece. Measures 9 in. long x 12 ½ in. tall.

Estimate $8,000 – $10,000
