(Universal, 1993) Two full sized head, Tyrannosaurus Rex heads were built for the T-Rex paddock attack scene and several close-ups of the famous dinosaur. It is constructed of foam latex, poly foam, carbon fiber and graphite, steel, aluminum, and are still in place. The carbon-fiber rings of the neck mechanism are still suspended from the steel shaft that supported them like the animals vertebrae. It has been removed from the rest of the mechanism for ease of display. Measures 79 in. tall (with stand) x 59 in. wide x 87 in. long. The largest teeth on this T-Rex are fully 5 ½ in. long! This film received the Academy Award for Best Effects, Visual Effects in 1994.
