752. Screen-used full-scale male T-Rex head from The Lost World: Jurassic Park II. (Universal, 1997) This is the male T-Rex insert head from the second Jurassic Park film. It is one of the two that tears Richard Schiff in half after retrieving him from the jeep he cowers in. Foam latex over a carbon fiber and steel armature, the head has a subtly different paint job from other T-Rexes in the films and a different scar across the nose to identify it. Measures 68 in. tall x 98 in. long.
Profiles in History is pleased to present its third and final offering of original screen-used visual effects creatures and puppets of some of the most iconic characters ever created for film. These impressive pieces were assembled over many years by a single private collector who has now decided to pass these treasures on to new caretakers.

Many of you will recognize these characters as original creations of the artists at the Academy Award-winning effects house Stan Winston Studio, and each piece is accompanied by a signed letter of authenticity from the Stan Winston Studio. Bidders please note: the consignor will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each piece to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

This incredible collection represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire some of the most important visual effects pieces ever created for modern cinema, each of which pushed the boundaries of film technology to new heights while simultaneously bringing new and exciting characters to life on the silver screen.

IN MEMORY OF STAN WINSTON, 1946-2008 $40000 - $60000
