(Universal, 1993) This Jurassic Park, stop motion T-Rex puppet was used to create a complex “animatic” for Steven Spielberg to approve during the filming of this pivotal film. The complex stop-motion sequences that resulted were then sent to ILM for the digital animators to reproduce. Unfortunately it did not match the stop motion sequence’s look and feel. The Tippett crew had to train the CG animators to think in terms of real mass and physical limitation in order to reproduce the subtle movement correctly. Measures 9 in. x 8 in. x 6 in.
