(Walt Disney, 1996) Hero screen-used Centipede puppet from the underwater sequence when his back gets stretched out. The ship’s frame and decking are original set pieces as are the ropes holding the puppet. Constructed of foam latex with internal aluminum and steel ball-and-socket armature. The cigar is hero and was added to round out the display since it is a trademark item used by the character throughout the film. A few tiny crack to the foam latex; otherwise, remarkable condition. Puppet measures 14 in. long and overall decking dimensions are 23 in. long x 11 in. wide x 11 in. tall. Mounted on a custom Plexiglass base with descriptive plaque. From the vivid imagination of writer, director, producer and illustrator Tim Burton, the following 99 lots (1352-1450) represent his groundbreaking vision from his first short film, Vincent, through the critically acclaimed films The Nightmare Before Christmas, James and the Giant Peach and Corpse Bride.
