Hero animatronic full-scale “Darkness” lion head from The Ghost and the Darkness. (Paramount, 1996) This hero Darkness head is constructed of silicone skin, yak fur and horsetail hair to cover the head. The eyes are hand-painted and clear-coated, and the tongue and all parts associated were sculpted. The mechanics for facial movement and expression are still in place. Measures approx. 20 in. long x 20 in. wide. Mounted on steel production base.
