(New Line, 1995) Don Juan de Marco’s trademark seventeenth century Spanish nobleman costume, highlighted by a full length black cape, black hat and mask, leather gloves, waist sash, knee-length embroidered boots, an elaborate orange velvet vest with printed lining and engraved silver buttons and conchos, elegant wool trousers and a crisp white custom shirt worn by actor Johnny Depp in the title role. All major elements of this costume are labeled with studio costume labels. One of only two such ensembles built for the production. Also included is a lavishly matted Don Juan de Marco costume design sketch (color reproduction) by designer Kristen Everberg, showing Depp wearing the proposed costume.
