Pair of screen-used animatronic grey gorilla heads from Congo. (Paramount, 1995) Both heads are constructed of hand-painted silicone with carbon fiber underskulls (that were secured on the actors’ heads) and hand-tied and punched hair. Internal mechanisms for servo control are still present and both are mounted on urethane foam heads on wooden bases.
