(Paramount, 1984) This stunt Thuggee sword was used in the scene where Indy whips the sword out of the Thuggee guard’s hand at the entrance to the rope bridge. This safety sword was substituted in place of the real sword, as Harrison Ford was actually striking it with his whip, which could potentially have caused the sword to fly back at him! Constructed of silver and brown painted hard rubber, the sword measures 31 in. long. Tip is missing, most likely from heavy production use.
