Screen-used and camera-ready maps from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. (Paramount, 1984) Two camera-ready maps used for the animation scenes illustrating the flight of the Ford Trimotor across Asia. Accomplished in ink, watercolor and tempera on leaves of artist’s illustration paper mounted on rigid foam-core backing, the maps measure 22 x 40 in. and 30 x 40 in. Each map features a transparent overlay with printed and hand-drawn gridlines and annotations such as, “Starting position, ease into move after 5 ft. handle, start accelerating move in” and other details. They exhibit some minor water damage at corners but remain in very good condition and instantly recognizable props from the film.
