374. "Antonio" head from Gorillas in the Mist. (United Artists, 1988) This screen-used foam latex self-contained background gorilla head is extremely rare and in excellent condition given the age of the film. Punched hair and acrylic teeth are featured on this head that appeared in many of the "group" gorilla scenes. Antonio was one of the many apes named by the real-life Dian Fossey (played in the film by Sigourney Weaver) when she was conducting her groundbreaking research on gorillas.
