TCF, 2002) This intricately detailed, special effects jetpack was designed to be used by the officers of the futuristic “Pre-Crime Unit” to apprehend perpetrators
before they actually committed the crime (usually homicide). Worn by the officers to maneuver aerially around the city, they were used most effectively in the chase seen where Tom Cruise is cornered by his former colleagues. The pack has a metal frame with foam padding and waist belt, and features a custom-made fiberglass shell painted steel blue, with four jet nozzles protruding out from the inner fuel supply. The pack is engineered internally to safely contain fuel (most probably propane) in two insulated tanks; when ignited, flames are expelled out of the exhaust nozzles. A fantastic working special effects prop from this Steven Spielberg film!
Estimate $4,000 – $6,000
